My path to becoming a Health and Wellness Professional started at the University of Hertfordshire, where I studied Sport and Exercise Science, covering Physiology, Biomechanics, Nutrition, Psychology, and Strength & Conditioning. Since then, I've trained further and worked as a Personal Trainer, Soft Tissue Therapist (providing Therapeutic Massage), Wellness/Mindset Coach, and Clinical Pilates Instructor. This has given me a well-rounded toolkit for the complex, multifaceted health issues my clients bring to me every week.
My route here wasn't an easy one. For years I worked in restaurant and retail management, turning myself inside out for the job, which led to burnout, injuries and IBS. But it wasn't until my dad passed away from lung cancer in 2010 as a result of smoking, at only the age of 57, that I really started to examine my own life. Was I living the life I wanted? Was I heading towards an early death because of my lifestyle?
I started making changes, and I became obsessed with health and wellness. That sparked a deep desire inside me to help others change too, and not just for the moment, but for the long term. So I took the leap into a career change and applied to the University of Hertfordshire at the age of 28. Looking back, it was the best decision I ever made!
Over a decade on, I still share the same passion for helping others, and I absolutely love what I do. Today I have a wonderful little daughter who takes up most of my time, but my mission remains the same: to help people make lasting change for the better and to empower them to live the life they truly want.
If you're dealing with any ongoing issues, no matter how small, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm always happy to help!
